Swap your life with a pen pal, and spark a new love interest in the most unconventional way. Will fate serve you romance or headache?

Love Story 

When two confused and heartbroken women find each other over the internet they decide to embark on a romantic journey where they choose to swap homes, cars, and love lives from 6,000 miles apart. Little did they know that temporarily swapping lives would end up changing their lives all-together. 

The Cast 

This Rom-Com feel good, directed by Nancy Meyers delivers a fulfilling cast featuring: Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, and Jude Law. Supporting roles contributed by: Jack Black, Eli Wallach, and Edward Burns. Interestingly, this film was written with this specific crew in mind. As supporting actor Rufus Sewell and Kate Winslet had a real life romance – off screen.

As a Rom-Com Drama you are being shown complex and dynamic stories by some of the best names in Hollywood: Hugh Grant, Keira Knightly, Liam Neeson, and Bill Nighy. Director Richard Curtis left no shortage of supporting roles to convey a multi-story holiday love film. Supporting role Kris Marshall ended up returning his paycheck from a day of filming where he is to be undressed by three American women. He claims he had so much fun, that he was willing to do it for free.

You’ve been away from family for awhile and the holidays are here – which means it is time to return home and spend some quality time with your loved ones: ‘rents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings. Everyone comes to town and gathers in one general location to catch up and enjoy the company of each other. Ahhh, the headache, or not, of the holidays. 

Love Story 

After four years astray, a family matriarch arranges to have her loved ones all gather for the holiday in her home. As time passes, secrets come to the surface and tensions rise as they begin to unravel the strain. Status, debts, and career moves all play out for this family as they find themselves relishing in their time together and figuring out the new discoveries. 

The Cast

A musically inclined cast, directed by Preston Whitmore starring: Delroy Lindo, Idris Elba, and Loretta Devine. And a popular supporting role played by Chris Brown, popular musical artist and actor. This cast brought drama, and much fun to the screen – and in the end when performing a “Soul Train Line” they were out of character, just enjoying the company of one another.

Sometimes it feels as if we’ve met the wrong person, at the right time. And sometimes it’s as if we’ve met the right person, but at the wrong time. What do you do, and how do you proceed? Did you meet in a peculiar way or did you meet on intention? 

Love Story 

An interior designer finds herself in the position to hire an assistant. Unbeknownst to the assistant, she would soon face not only the challenges of a new boss, but a new love interest that is already off the market. When the assistant and the estranged mystery man have a peculiar encounter they find that fate has pulled them together. Leaving them in a predicament about their situations. 

The Cast

As a Lifetime Studios film we already know there will be no shortage of drama. Elisabeth Rohm, Laura Breckenridge, and Brandon Fehr deliver a dysfunctional love story, not completely off the charts. Fehr and supporting actress Laura Spencer were both previously in the television show Bones. Adding on screen value in functioning chemistry.

Love Story

With only 12 days before Christmas, and a tight deadline to close the sale, a young lawyer is faced with the challenge of selling a property with a mysterious spirit. As she learns that the spirit has taken human form, they begin to do the work for solve his century old death. And the power of love finds them both in an untimely circumstance. 

The Cast

In a suspenseful Rom-Com, director David Jackson brings Thomas Beaudoin, Kati Salowsky, and Steven A. Miller together in a holiday mystery. Located in Wrentham, MA., the Proctor Mansion Inn shows no evidence of a real life ghost/spirit story. Though, there is mystery regarding the inn and the story of the name “Carl”.

A timeless Tim Burton film we have all come to know and love, making this a must see movie during the holiday season. But let’s be honest, we could watch Edward any day of the year. Am I right? 

Love Story 

A loving mother and saleswoman sets off for another day in pastel suburbia. On her journey she discovers an absurd, sharp-handed human who she decides to take home with her. When he begins to attempt to blend into his new community, he finds trouble, suspense, and even romance. No matter what he does to mesh, there is always one thing that will set him apart from the others. 

The Cast

Directed by Tim Burton and 20th Century Fox Studios, this breakout role for Johnny Depp quickly became a household must-see, turned American classic. With lead roles also played by Winona Ryder and Dianne Wiest. And supporting roles played by Anthony Michael Hall, Alan Arkin, and Kathy Baker. Tim Burton based the pastel themed neighborhood on his hometown of Burbank, CA.

When it comes to Christmas films us women tend to think of one common denominator – Hallmark. Hallmark holiday films are jam packed with romance, drama, and relatable plots. Grab a cozy blanket, some hot coco, and turn on the fireplace – Hallmark binging begins now! 

Love Story

A career focused and driven doctor ends up not receiving the job promotion she was hoping for. Unexpectedly, she moves to a humble, remote Alaskan town. After her move she finds herself in a warm environment that she takes a liking to and though she may not have received that promotion, she finds love in her new homestead. Only catch, there is a holiday secret within her new hometown that she is determined to figure out. 

The Cast

We grew up watching her as the big sister in Full House, the leading female role is played by Candace Cameron Bure. Also starring in lead roles are Robert Pine and Brian Doyle-Murray. The plane used while filming is actually registered Mesa, Arizona to Phoenix Flyers Inc.

Love Story

A New York City career woman devoted to her New England roots boyfriend, heads to his hometown to meet his family over the holidays. Sparking a clash in worlds and causing tension to spark between the new lovers and the family, this NYC girl calls in some backup from her sister. Meanwhile, her boyfriend begins to raise question on the status of their partnership. 

The Cast 

A comedic drama packed with familiar faces, director Thomas Bezucha spares none with this cast, starring: Claire Danes, Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Luke Wilson, and Sarah Jessica Parker. Bezucha decided prior to filming to have the cast come together through a series of rehearsals to ensure the on-camera family bond was sealed.

Ah yes, that time of year – glittery snowfall, the smell of fresh baked cookies from the kitchen, and driving all over God’s green Earth to spend Christmas with every member of your family. Good thing it only comes around once, right? 

Love Story

As this couple plans their tropical holiday vacation like they do every other year, this holiday season has something else in store for them. Upon arriving at the airport they hit a snafu and are forced to change their holiday plans. Now the couple must head back home and spend the holidays with their families; all four of them. 

 

The Cast

A holiday feel good comedy, directed by Seth Gordon. This dynamic duo of Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon take the center stage as lead roles. With supporting roles played by Sissy Spacek, Kristin Chenoweth, and Tim McGraw. Filming of this movie paused temporarily for three days as a result of an accident on set where Witherspoon was hit in the face with a ceramic plate, requiring five stitches.

Love Story

Eight perfect strangers are left to seek refuge in an abandoned church when a snowstorm causes a road closure. In their time together, they become support systems and create dynamics only fate can take credit for. Despite the differences of the individuals, they are able to work together to help one another in miraculous ways. 

The Cast

A Thomas Kinkade story, reminding us of faith and values; what matters most. This suspense filled drama stars: George Canyon, Aaron Pearl, and Allison Hossak. Director Terry Ingram ties in heritage and history by displaying an authentic Hudson Bay Blanket by the fire. These woolen blankets were known to be sold to fur trappers and aboriginal bands in the late 1700’s.
